Happy Monday! Hope it has been productive one! It has been for me. I was a little excited and nervous to put up this post, which now that I think about it I was silly for doubting myself. Let me back up and let you know why I felt this way. A few weeks ago, I went out to Laguna to shoot, and I wanted to wear this skirt in a more edgy way. I had worn it a few posts back in a more casual, girly way and I wanted to show variety. So I paired it with my combat boots, a brallete and this fishnet top. Weston and I were doing our thing, when from the corner of my eye I saw a lady and her daughter just staring me down, it was very obvious it was in a mean way. I got a bit uncomfortable, but I just kept going. We got a little closer to them, by some stairs we wanted to shoot when I heard the lady tell her daughter “thats too revealing and so inappropriate” they both giggled and I just walked away. Now I know I may sound silly, but it actually hurt my feelings, even though I usually don’t give two – sh**s about what people think of me. There was just something that made me self conscience and uncomfortable. However today, I saw the pictures and realized that I like this outfit and I am not going to let complete strangers make me second guess myself nor my outfits. Silly Lex, what was I thinking. Small little note for the day, whatever you do, whatever you wear, make sure you own it! I hope you like it!
